Bob's Band Bio Bob's Band was started late in 2007 by four talented musicians from all along the northeast corridor. The individuals that form Bob's Band met up through various means within The Suncoast and decided to form a most wanted and needed band. Ranging from New York through Pennsylvania these players have been in numerous bands over the last 35 years. Some have been in Road bands touring the country while others have worked exclusively in studios.
Most of the band's material is some of the finest British rock ever written. But not to be undone, Bob's Band also covers some material by American bands that are/were heavily influenced by British rock (Tom Petty for example). Now, for the first time, these players have teamed to play this fabulous music.
The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, just to name just a few artists Bob's Band performs… but let's not forget Eric Clapton, Cream, Rod Stewart, Bryan Adams, & Joe Walsh. But no matter what show you see, all the music are from fine artists who have tons of material to select from. Bob's Band doesn't just cover the hit songs, they find an album oriented cut (AOR) that were aired on FM radio and are well known to all. Because of some demands from the crowds a select few tunes of standard 45 hit number # 1 singles are also performed………….. BECAUSE THEY ARE FUN! This is what Bob's Band IS all about!
"I Want to Hold Your Hand" is a fun song to play, but "Here Comes the Sun" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" are greater pieces of music. When was the last time you heard any of these songs played LIVE by a full band? (Solo artists & Karaoke don't count) Some material the band doesn't pick. The music picks the band. Bob's Band is NOTORIOUS for doing Beatle tunes (Group & individual). Because these Beatle tunes PICK THE BAND! Dave might play a chord, Steve sings a line and the band joins in. Now, on to the next song.
If you watch the band carefully you will see each member is having a good time. It shows in the songs, and the performance. IT IS CONTAGEOUS!
Bob's Band is also writing and recording some great original material. They will be out supporting it later this year.

Now about Bob! He is not a member of the band. Bob is the Head Technician who keeps the gear in proper working order. This includes all the amps, PA, gadgets and a VINTAGE 1967 VOX Beatle Amp that is almost fully original. NEVER BOTHER BOB! He does not play well with others. Just buy him a beer and thank him for the work he does. You may of course bug the players. THEY LIKE IT AND ARE FRIENDLY!
